Although there are no federal digital media tax credits, many provinces have a Digital Media Tax Credit program. Generally speaking the credits fund e-learning and games, however many provinces extend the credit to any digitally interactive project that educates, informs or entertains. The credits range between 17.5% and 50% of eligible expenditures depending on the province.

Digital media credits are somewhat similar to SR&ED as companies often apply for the credit through their corporate income tax return. Most of these digital media credits also result in a cash refund. RDP has been dedicated to proactively helping companies make successful tax credit claims since 1988. Let RDP help your business make the Innovation Connection, connecting innovation to your bottom line by obtaining funding for your research and development activities through the SR&ED program.
